RK University, a Partner University in the CABCIN – An European Union funded Initiative

"CABCIN - Establishment of Capacity Building Center as a sustainable solution to raise the standards of teaching staff in Indian HEIs" is a project which has been conceptualized by Dr. Kamila Ludwikowska (CABCIN Project Manager & Asst. Professor at Politechnika WrocÅ‚awska, Poland) and has been co--funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.

 
The Project has 5 European Partners and 5 Indian Partners in the Project. The European partners Universities are Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (Poland), Frederick University (Cyprus), Technical University of Kosice (Slovakia), Universidade Nova de Lisboa  (Portugal), Gent University (Belgium). The Indian Partner Universities are Parul University, Vadodara and SAL Institute of Technology & Engineering Research Ahmedabad, and RK University from Gujarat, North Maharashtra University Jalgaon, Maharashtra, Amity University, Haryana.

 
The Project is divided into total seven work packages and each European Partner is responsible for a Work package. Currently the under the work package two namely “Train The Trainer” four Modules were designed and delivered by the European Partners to the 30 Indian Trainers selected after a rigorous selection process. These four Modules mainly focused on E-Learning, Soft Skills in Higher Education Institutions, Interactive strategies and Curriculum Design. Each Module comprised of a four days training hosted by the various Indian Partners.

 

The Project Steering Committee Head is Mr. Denish Patel the Executive Vice President of RK University and Mr. Mohit Patel the Vice President personally involves and engages in all the Work package meetings and execution of the Project at RK University. The whole project at rK University is executed under the leadership and guidance of both of them.

 
The M4 Module of “Curriculum Design” was hosted by RK University Rajkot during 6th March, 2018 to 9th March, 2018. The Trainers for this Module were Dr. Nicoletta Christodoulou and Dr. Chrysanthi Kadji  from Fredrick University Cyprus. The Trainees were a 5 Participants from each Indian University namely North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, Amity University, Haryana and RK University Rajkot.

 
After the completion of the training the Capacity building centres would be established where in these trained Trainers will be uplifting other faculty colleagues of their own Universities as well as the regional academicians skill set so as to all the teaching fraternity benefits and the motive of this project of improving the standards and quality in the Higher Education Institutions in India improves get achieved.

 
On 31st March, 2018 an Open Infoday is also organized for all the interested academicians and industry people as well as those from the Government who are interested in getting the details about the project.
