At Northstar, we set an example of how we can learn & grow together. Our learning is beyond the predecided topics of textbooks. Recently we had kids from all schools at our beautiful campus during Northstar Experience Day 2020 where they experienced 'Northstar Way' of learning & understanding the world. Here are some glimpses of the day.
Explorations are at the core of Integrated Exploratory Learning Approach developed by The Northstar School. Explorations are long interdisciplinary projects in which learners work collaboratively to explore meaningful and complex ideas.
One such exploration was IDENTITY - Perception and Consequences. Learners of Grades 7 and 8 through their exploration had a very reflective learning in trying to understand what is identity. They also explored how a person’s behavior and how they choose to present themselves project aspects of their identity.
At Northstar, our methods of learning are different. In an effort to give an opportunity for kids from all schools to experience our methods, we organized Northstar Experience Day.
Ho Ho Ho! Santa has his own way to spread joy and happiness all around. At Northstar, we celebrated Christmas Day with our Preschoolers and Primary Learners. Everyone, in red and white attire, performing on Christmas Carols was spectacular.
We celebrate connections at Northstar Nest (our preschool). Grandparents are special to every child and they share a special bond. All learners were very excited to perform for their grandparents and showcase their talent. Grandparents had stories to tell and interesting games to play. Needless to say, they were very happy and overwhelmed to see their grandchildren performing for them. At the end, creative handouts painted and crafted by the kids were gifted to them as memoirs. A beautiful day indeed!
"There is no garden as beautiful as Childhood”. Every child is a different kind of flower; together they make this world a beautiful garden. Children are nature’s gift to every parent. They make life more beautiful, bringing a smile to every person’s face. They are innocent and playful, so a special day is dedicated as “Children’s Day”.
