ABOUT THE CONFERENCE (ETBI – Rajkot)
This conference is organized to disseminate knowledge and information about various emerging technologies used for business intelligence and business analytics. The conference will provide an opportunity to the students, academicians, industry people and research scholars to explore and upgrade their knowledge about existing tools, technologies and software used by industries for prompt decision making. In last decade, business intelligence and analytics have widespread usage in the field of engineering, science, management, health care and other domains and had captured the interest of various stakeholders.
About ETBI Series
ETBI is a series initiated by the Department of Operations Research and Business Intelligence at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Poland. It aims to bring convergence among researchers, academics, and industry experts, facilitate multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research, and promote the application of emerging technologies in business.
ABOUT RK UNIVERSITY

About the Department of Operations Research and Business Intelligence, WrocławTech, Poland
The Department of Operational Research and Business Intelligence was established in November 2014 by the Rector of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Poland. The department exists within the organizational structure of the Faculty of Management. The Head of the Department is Professor Rafał Weron. The following research and teaching divisions operate within the Department: Operations research and the application of computer science, Economic modeling and forecasting, Computer simulation, Finance, and financial analysis.

PROF. RAFAL WERON
Rafał Weron is a Professor of Management Science, Rector's Proxy for the Evaluation of the Quality of Scientific Activity, and Head of the Department of Operations Research and Business Intelligence at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. He is a member of the Academia Europaea - Academy of Europe, the Statistics and Econometrics Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences (KSiE PAN) and the International Institute of Forecasters (IIF). He serves on the Editorial Boards of several journals, including the top-tier International Journal of Forecasting. Over the last 20 years, Rafał has built an impressive international reputation in energy forecasting. His other research interests include agent-based modeling and simulation, complex systems, computational economics, computational statistics and machine learning, financial engineering and risk management, stochastic modeling and time series analysis. With 5000+ Scopus-indexed citations (w/o auto-citations) and an H-index of 40+, he ranks high on the list of the Top 2% most widely cited scientists in the world.
PROF. KATARZYNA WERON
Katarzyna Sznajd-Weron is a Professor of Social Simulation and Statistical Physics and mentor of Academia Iuvenum at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. She is the recipient of the Young Scientist Award for Socio- and Econophysics (2007) and the Medal of the Commission of National Education (2011). Over the last 20 years, Katarzyna has built an impressive international reputation. With over 2000 Scopus-indexed citations (w/o auto-citations) and an H-index in excess of 20, she is one of the leading world experts on opinion dynamics. Her other research interests include agent-based modeling and simulation, complex systems, computational economics, phase transitions and social psychology. She is the co-author of the widely acclaimed Sznajd model of opinion formation; the original article (IJMPC, 2000) has been cited over 1000 times (Scopus; w/o auto-citations).
A/PROF.ANNA KOWALSKA-PYZALASKA
Anna Kowalska-Pyzalska - With an M.Sc. in Management (2001), a Ph.D. in Electrical Power Systems (2006), four years spent in the power industry (2006-2010) and a habilitation in Management Science (2019), she possesses unique expertise on the interface of energy markets, management and economics. Her most recent research interests include the investigation of social acceptance of innovative energy services, such as smart meters or small-scale renewable generation, as well as of alternative fuel vehicles, such as battery electric ones. Apart from empirical studies, she is keen on modeling of adoption rates and diffusion of innovation by means of agent-based simulation.
DR. DIMITRIOS SOTIROS
Dimitrios Sotiros has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Operations Research and Business Intelligence, Faculty of Management, Wroclaw Tech, since October 2020. He has an interdisciplinary academic background with Bachelor's in Mathematics and a Master's and PhD in Informatics from Greece. Post his PhD. He continued his research activities in Portugal as a researcher for three years. His main research interests focus on performance measurement, multi-criteria decision making and multi-objective programming.
Dr.YASH CHAWLA
Yash Chawla is an Assistant Professor of Innovation and Marketing Management and a Member of Academia Iuvenum at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. He also serves as R&D Communication Advisor at DAC.Digital, Poland. Yash has an interdisciplinary background in Engineering, Computer Applications and Business Administration which enables him to work at the intersection of Emerging Technology, Business and Society. He has over a decade of academic and professional consulting experience, working with institutions and businesses in South Asia, Middle-east and Europe. In his relatively young scientific career, Yash has published over a dozen Scopus/WoS-indexed publications and has built a strong global research network. Yash is also an accomplished trainer and public speaker, and has trained over 75,000 students, teachers and professionals till date. His close ties with the industry help in bringing insights to his training, classroom teaching, as well as research. He is determined to produce results that aid in promoting sustainable development.
Dr Rajul G. Joshi
Dr Rajul Gajendra Joshi is management science, innovation, development and Science policy thought leader. Dr Joshi is an internationally acclaimed facilitator, academician, researcher, consultant and entrepreneurship mentor and active in Aus-India diaspora.Currently associted with Fiji National University and Western Sydney University. Her area of expertise is strategic management, innovation, entrepreneurship, information technology, organisation studies, and science & technology policy.
Dr. Arnab Kumar Laha
Arnab Kumar Laha is Professor of Production and Quantitative Methods (P&QM) at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. He takes a keen interest in understanding how analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence can be leveraged to solve complex problems of business and society. He has published his research in national and international journals of repute, authored a popular book on analytics and an edited book volume published by Springer. He has been named as one of the "20 Most Prominent Analytics and Data Science Academicians in India" by Analytics India Magazine in 2018. He is the author of the popular book on analytics "How to Make the Right Decision" published by Penguin-Random House and is the editor of two book volumes on advanced analytics published by Springer. He is a member of the governing council / academic council/committees of several reputed organizations/institutes. He has conducted a large number of open enrolment, blended learning, and customized executive education programmes and has undertaken consultancy work for many reputed organizations. Mr. Dinesh Thapak
Mr. Dinesh Thapak is heading the analytical research and innovation center at Concentrix , Bengaluru, India. He is a Data Scientist & analytical professional with 19 plus years of experience in qualitative and quantitative science with research, development, implementation and mentoring towards high-end advanced analytical solutions along with risk assessment scoring to drive actionable business insights. He has an experience on tools like Python, R, Rev R, SAS, SPSS, AMOS, Rapid –Miner, Mat-lab, HTK, Lisrel, analytical suite of MS Azure, AWS,GCP on major types of data. He has build and deployed RCM analytics, CLM analytics, Lie detection, Algopedia, Data Science Suit, Risk Index creation, HRIS system, Performance & evaluation scorecard, Email classification & text mining using NLP, Customer segmentation & churn analytics, Simulation & Process analysis for optimization, Risk Management Model for VAS, Build real time BI alerts mechanism. His doctoral work is in the area of cloud computing as a service model and also holds dual masters degrees in the field of management and IT. He has also worked as a visiting faculty at various reputed management & technical institutes and universities also guided many master level thesis/ projects in the area of business analytics and data science.
