Musical Antakshari
Information and Rules
Event Description
- The Musical Antakshari is a fun-filled event designed to engage students in a lively competition centered around Bollywood songs and movies. The event consists of three rounds, each testing the participants' knowledge, musical skills, and quick thinking. Teams will compete in a quiz, a musical Antakshari round, and a buzzer round to showcase their love and understanding of Bollywood music.
Event Rules
Round 1: Bollywood Quiz
• Description:
A short quiz based on Bollywood songs, movies, and famous dialogues.• Rules:
1. Each team will answer questions in a rapid-fire format.2. Correct answers will earn points, no negative marking for wrong answers.
3. Each question will have a 10-second time limit to answer.
• Judgment Criteria:
Points awarded for correct answers.Round 2: Core Musical Antakshari
• Description:
The host will start singing a song. The first team must continue by singing another song that includes either the actor or musician from the previous song and pair them with another actor or musician.• Rules:
1. Teams must immediately connect the next song with either an actor or musician from the previous song.2. The team must correctly pair the artist with a new actor or musician for the next song.
3. Each team has 20 seconds to think and start their song.
4. If a team fails to continue, the chance goes to the next team.
• Judgment Criteria:
Creativity in pairing, song accuracy, and adherence to the 20- second time limit.Round 3: Buzzer Round
• Description:
Teams will hear a few seconds of a song and must buzz in to identify and sing at least the mukhada (first lines) of the song.• Rules:
1. The first team to buzz gets to answer.2. Correctly identifying and singing the song's mukhada earns points.
3. Incorrect answers or incomplete singing results in no points; the chance does not pass to another team.
• Judgment Criteria:
Speed of response, accuracy in song identification, and singing correctness. Number of rounds would depend on number of participants. Organizer has all rights to change the rounds at any point of time.Event Type
